G2E 2007 Kicks Off in Las Vegas With More Than 30,000 in Attendance
Mr. Tony Soprano himself, James Gandolfini, and more than 30,000 gaming industry professionals from around the world are converging on Las Vegas this week for Global Gaming Expo (G2E) 2007, the largest trade show and conference event for the global gaming entertainment industry. G2E 2007 kicked off Tuesday with the opening of a packed, 330,000-square-foot show floor showcasing the latest gaming innovations making their way to a casino near you.
Electronic blackjack tables, casino chips embedded with hi-tech security tracking systems, slot machines that can change with the touch of a button, touch-screen concierge systems and thousands of never-before-seen casino games are just some of the products to be showcased at G2E, along with innovative casino security products and back-of-the-house management software that facilitate the smooth operations of even the largest casino resorts. Many gaming companies work all year to develop the new products that they will debut at the annual show.
